A driver who ploughed head-on into 4 cyclists at 60mph has been jailed for two several years and eight months.
Jason Morgan, who had taken amphetamine, hit the riders with his Vauxhall Corsa on a mountain road in Bargoed in April.

The 48-year-aged, from Treharris, admitted drug driving, unsafe driving, and two counts of producing critical injuries by unsafe driving.
One of the cyclists endured everyday living-altering injuries.
Photos of the bikes crumpled and damaged, just one lacking a wheel and components spread all over, have been shown at Cardiff Crown Courtroom.
Prosecutor Peter Donnison claimed close friends Darran Thomas, Huw Smith, Christopher Jones and David Myhill have been “experienced and passionate” cyclists who experienced ridden all above the earth.
Mr Donnison said the riders read “a car engine revving” and noticed it on the incorrect facet of the street travelling towards them.
“Mr Thomas believed the driver did not like cyclists and was performing it on intent to scare them then realised he was not likely to swerve or halt,” the prosecutor explained.
“He shouted at the driver and tried to avoid the car or truck by turning toward the grassy bank but felt the bumper hit his leg and bike, and he was thrown into the air.
“He was battling to breathe, he was in so significantly pain.”
Mr Thomas, 54, experienced lifestyle-altering injuries, together with a broken leg, 6 fractured ribs and a punctured lung.
‘Desperately sorry’
6 months soon after the crash he is continue to acquiring physiotherapy and counselling.
Mr Thomas claimed in a target effects statement: “I really do not think I will at any time be the identical individual once more.
“I cannot place into words and phrases the impression the incident has experienced on me. It has completely changed my existence in approaches I did not know were being doable.”
He explained he did not feel he would ever be emotionally powerful adequate to experience a bicycle on the street again.
Defence barrister Lucy Crowther reported: “He does ask me to say, on his behalf, how desperately sorry he is.
“He has not driven since and he has bought no intention of at any time driving once more in his everyday living.”
As very well as the sentence, Judge Nicola Evans banned Morgan from driving for a few several years and ordered that his motor vehicle be confiscated.
