Chelsea full the signing of Kai Havertz


Chelsea have signed attacking midfielder Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen on a 5-12 months contract in a deal really worth about £71m.

The Germany worldwide has scored 36 goals and contributed 25 assists in 118 appearances for the Bundesliga club.

He is Chelsea’s next most highly-priced signing following Kepa Arrizabalaga joined from Athletic Bilbao (£71.6m) in 2018.

“I am pretty content and happy to be listed here. It is a dream come real to play in a massive club like Chelsea,” explained Havertz.

Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia explained: “Kai is just one of the finest gamers of his age in earth soccer, so we are very pleased that his future lies at Chelsea.

“He is an remarkable, dynamic expertise. We are delighted to be ready to increase his versatility and high quality to the squad just before the period starts.”

Havertz, 21, is Blues manager Frank Lampard’s seventh signing in his 1st window because the club’s transfer ban was lifted.

He follows ahead and compatriot Timo Werner, midfielder Hakim Ziyech, and defenders Xavier Mbuyamba, Malang Sarr, Ben Chilwell and Thiago Silva to Stamford Bridge.
