Govt Council members of the Ghana Soccer Affiliation have been reminded of their responsibility of establishing Ghana soccer.
The 12-member council not too long ago obtained a large increase in the shipping and delivery of their mandate soon after Congress endorsed their new emolument bundle.
The new arrangement will see the GFA President bag GH¢12,000 as regular allowance with his vice and other members acquiring GH¢7,000 and GH¢4,000 respectively.
Frederick Moore is the chairman of the ad-hoc committee that proposed their deal and he has defended their decision.
Moore avers that for the members to execute their employment efficiently, they will have to be paid effectively by the FA.
“Any task that you do, any position that you perform, you’re not paid out based mostly on your certificate or based mostly on the reality that you are there, but for the job that you’re actively playing, and that role, for the wage you get, it has to come with accountability,” Moore reported.
“We want the ExCo to function for us to get selflessness. If you’re heading to get the job done to get selflessness and I say I am not going to reward you [you must be ready to pay for it] you can’t have it each approaches,” he mentioned.
With a new economic reward will come responsibilities and Frederick Moore has served the committee a reminder of their main mandate.
He tasked them to elevate the sport to a stage improved than they inherited. He urged the stakeholders to vote them if they fall short to satisfy the goals predicted of them.
“We have to have an ExCo in Ghana, we have to have a soccer association in Ghana, that can acquire Ghana to the upcoming amount and if they are rewarded and they really don’t take Ghana to the next stage, then it is incumbent on the rest of us to vote them out,” he said.
