Ghanaian hiplife and hip-hop musician Medikal has unveiled why he named his daughter ‘Island’. The “Omo Ada” hitmaker sent social media into a frenzy when he unveiled his daughter’s name as ‘Island’ via his Instagram website page.

“Welcome to the universe my queen! Island Frimpong. You no get issue, God obtained us,” Medikal captioned his first image with his daughter, Island.

He been given a bunch of congratulatory feedback from supporters and fellow famous people together with Kwesi Arthur, MzVee, Stonebwoy, Sista Afia, KiDi, Fameye, Captain Planet, Reggie Rockstone, Maccasio, Wendy Shay, Prince Vivid, and Christiana Awuni.

Reacting to opinions that his daughter’s name is in some way odd, he explained on YFM on Monday that he gave her the title since she arrived from a different house – an island.

The previous AMG Company label signee indicated that his daughter is exclusive so he chose to match her that ‘beautiful name’.

“Why I named my daughter Island is mainly because I sense my little one is unique and an Island is a land in the middle of water and I truly feel she came from a distinctive space so I selected to give her that lovely identify ‘Island’” Medikal informed YFM.

He explained his forthcoming prolonged play, dubbed “Island”, was named in honour of his daughter Island Frimpong.

“The Island EP was because of my infant,” he uncovered. “We named my child ahead of she even arrived out. So, she is the particular person who motivated the ‘EP’ Island. So, she is the reason why I set out the album EP. The EP is not the explanation why I named my child ‘Island’” he included.

The “Island EP” which is now out capabilities youngsters like Kwesi Slay, Armani, Kevin Fianko, Ahtitude and several much more.
