Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is anxious about the infiltration of politicians in chieftaincy affairs, which he reported is producing chiefs less influential.
He noticed divisions amongst them has negatively affected their function as peacemakers.
Talking at the commissioning of the Nationwide House of Chiefs developing, he reported posterity will decide the chiefs if they do not reinvent them selves.
“You’re the fathers, but request oneself why you have not been recognised as these types of? It is simply because of our possess doing,” he famous.
“We journey to politicians begging them for selected things so we’re divided in the entrance. We have to be united and know the essence of chieftaincy.
“Let them appear to you for tips, let them occur to you for direction…if we never do that you offer your heritage to the politicians.
“Chieftaincy has something to do for Ghana and if we really don’t, the relevance of it will be questioned by the youth who really don’t respect yesterday but now,” he extra.
Built in 1949 by Otumfuo Sir Osei Agyemang II, the National Household of Chiefs edifice was rendered dysfunctional for some time now due to lack of routine maintenance.
