1D1F: Governing administration to inject ¢22m to revitalise Darko Farms to generate more


Darko Farms has now been revitalised less than government’s One District 1 Manufacturing facility (1D1F) programme with reinjection of ¢22 million money from the Ghana Exim Financial institution. 

The Trade Minister, Alan Kyeremanteng, as portion of his second phase business tour of Business enterprise Source Centres and 1D1F factories in the Western North, Ashanti and Bono East Regions paid out a whistle quit at Darko Farms where by he relished government’s revitalisation programme for struggling factories.

Management of Darko Farms are self-confident that the creation potential will shoot up by nearly half – from 4 million day outdated chicks a calendar year to seven million when the new products is put in.

Handling Director for Darko Farms, Samuel Darko, tells Pleasure Company, the intervention will shoot up ability and export margins of the corporation.

“The 1D1F has truly brought Darko Farms on the radar. We needed finance to increase creation and which is the impression we have observed. It is a main input. With the intervention of 1D1F we will go into entire generation by December developing 200,000 birds a month, 60 tonnes of poultry farmers a working day,” he expressed.
