President Akufo-Addo has rescinded his determination to sack the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Sekyere East, Mary Boatemaa Marfo.
This arrives hardly a 7 days after she was dismissed for allegedly vowing to decrease the votes of the NPP in the Effiduase-Asokore Constituency for the duration of the December 7 polls.
In a leaked audio, the DCE was listened to in a conversation with a celebration member threatening to frustrate voters on election day which will in turn lessen the votes of the NPP and the MP, Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie.
Subsequently, a letter composed by Deputy Minister of Local Governing administration and Rural Improvement, Kwasi Boateng Adjei to the Ashanti Regional Minister, said that her dismissal was to take result quickly.

The Regional Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah, was then tasked to consider oversight accountability until finally a new DCE has been appointed.
But in a new letter sighted by JoyNews, Mr. Adjei introduced the new selection.
“I have to tell you that His Excellency the President has rescinded the selection to revoke the appointment of Hon. Mary Beatrice Marfo as District Chief Government of Sekyere East District Assembly,” section of the letter read through.
