He claimed the President has abandoned him after he campaigned for him in 2007 to 2016 to be head of state of Ghana.
“I championed Akufo-Addo and place him up from 2007 up to the time he grew to become president 2017. I am not happy about my abandonment. I am not content about the way Akufo-Addo doesn’t know me yet again,” he reported.
Appiah-Ofori, who is also an anti-graft campaigner in an interview on Tv3 said he has regretted rejecting an offer you created to him by previous President John Mahama to serve in his governing administration stating explanations that he has an unflinching loyalty to the NPP and leader of the get together, then Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

“John Mahama himself known as me and advised me he required me to go and participate in a function in his administration and I explained to him that if he himself engages in corruption I would not be reluctant to expose him.
“He [Mahama] advised me that was why he preferred me to appear and be a test on him and his ministers but I didn’t consider the position due to the fact if I should really join NDC administration, it will imply that I had deserted NPP and I had deserted Akufo-Addo so I told him I will not just take the situation but any corrupt techniques that will take position in his administration which will occur to my recognize, I will draw his attention to it,” he explained.
“As a nation, as a region for the improved of Ghana, I think if I had positioned Ghana’s fascination over party and obtained into that situation, I consider I would have been ready to get all individuals engaged in corruption prosecuted. So for that, I have regretted,” the anti-graft crusader added.
He claimed he petitioned the president to be sent to the board of the Office of the Exclusive Prosecutor but he was neglected.
“Either he has blocked my line or altered his line. If I phone him it doesn’t go [through]. I personally petitioned Akufo-Addo that I desired to be despatched to the board of the Workplace of the Distinctive Prosecutor so that I will turn into the investigator but no reaction from him.
“I wrote the letter as quickly as the Unique Prosecutor was appointed. I just wished to go there to examine all these Auditor General’s studies. Some of the Auditor General’s experiences are not in depth enough,” he claimed.
