Ghana’s females national football group, the Black Queens stormed the places of work of the Ministry for Youth and Athletics to display above unpaid bonuses from 2015/2016.
In a letter sighted by Happyghana.com, the gamers revealed that they have persistently appealed to the Ghana Football Association and the Ministry of Youth and Sporting activities for their unpaid bonuses but their ask for had been ignored and taken care of with contempt.
The gamers said that a total of 180,600.00 bucks as allowances was owed the actively playing body and management.
The letter proceeds “our male counterparts are normally compensated their bonuses and allowances on time but we have usually been handled like next class citizens of this region. This procedure is making several proficient woman footballers eliminate fascination in the activity.”
Speaking in an job interview with Odiasempa Kwame Oware on Wamputu Athletics, previous Black Queens striker Agnes Aduako, who is the spokesperson for the workforce revealed“we went to the workplaces of the Ministry for Youth and Sporting activities to meet up with the minister. They’ve been owing us for years that’s why, our decision to go and fulfill with him. We have not acquired our bonuses from 2015 /2016 and we are demanding for unpaid bonuses amounting to 12,000 pounds per head”.
“Unfortunately, we did not meet the minister or the deputy so we will go back again to the office on Monday. Those people outdoors Accra will not go again. We are all remaining here till we meet up with the minister on Monday”.
“We are hoping to meet the former President, John Mahama to have interaction him concerning this situation. We want to meet up with him as our father even however he is in opposition, he should really use his business to support us. We are not doing any politics simply because we have been chasing this income for nearly 3 many years. We have been partaking the minister but it has not been fruitful. We do not belong to any political bash. We played for the nation not any political get together so this is not about any political occasion.”
“We have equally sent our petition letter to other previous presidents to plead with the existing president on our behalf. Some of us are suffering and we will need this income.”
