Asante Kotoko has rebuffed reports of unfair treatment of some players who claimed they have been axed from the club in advance of the new year.
A letter from the Qualified Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) to Kotoko sighted by GNA Sports activities, explained that some gamers have been still left out of the mandatory Covid-19 screening despite getting energetic contracts with the club.
The letter carries on that, some players have also been eradicated from the club’s WhatsApp system thereby their incapability to get the demanded data on the club forward of the new time.
But Kotoko in a assertion signed by Mr. Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi, Administrative and Operations Supervisor mentioned the club had not formally created any WhatsApp platform for interactions with players.
“Any WhatsApp team created by gamers are out of their have interests and not managed or registered by the club.
“The pre0season plans of Kotoko have not been shared with any establishment. Therefore, Covid-19 screening of gamers is carried out in batches, and in order of priority remains our prerogative,” the statement mentioned.
The statement included that the final decision of the workforce squad for the forthcoming year was only dependent on the Head Coach, Maxwell Konadu with management currently negotiating with gamers considered surplus.
Kotoko expressed discontent with the signatory of the letter from PFAG, Mr. Yusuf Chibsah, who they claim experienced a contractual romance with some players as an agent.
