The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Jomoro Constituency in the Western Location has fought off claims that the Member of Parliament for the space, Dorcas Affo-Toffey holds a number of nationality.
A assertion signed by the constituency Chairman Anthony Armah Benle mentioned that the NDC MP renounced her Ivorian citizenship in advance of she submitted her nomination to contest in Parliamentary elections.
In view of that, he claimed the news circulating on social media alleging that Madam Affo-Toffey is however a dual citizen is untrue and need to be disregarded.
“For the avoidance of doubt, Honorable Affo-Toffey does not keep citizenship of any other state and does not owe allegiance to any other country other than that of Republic of Ghana.”

Mr Benle then urged the people of Jomoro to deal with the misinformation as “speculations and insinuations with the biggest of contempt it justifies.”
