South African rapper and songwriter, Nadia Nakai has disclosed how she originally related with Ghanaian-American artist, Vic Mensa.
In late January 2021, Nakai built a vacation to Ghana to shoot the audio movie for her tune ‘Practice’ showcasing Mensa.
“It’s so ridiculous how the collaboration arrived about since I have normally been a massive admirer of him and he took a little bit of sabbatical from music. And I try to remember singing with my pals and he posted on Instagram that he was in the studio and I commented on his put up ‘I’m so content you’re in the studio’ and he followed me back again on Instagram,” shared Nakai through an interview with Ameyaw Debrah on Ameyaw Tv set.
“He despatched me a message and explained ‘hey how are you’ and we obtained to know each other, exchanged WhatsApp quantities and we continued to converse. I sent him the music that 7 days he despatched the verse like probably two times later on. And we have been really good close friends considering that then and he’s such an awesome particular person will have to be the Ghanaian part of him. He’s really down to earth.”
She also shared that she’d adore to collaborate with Kwesi Arthur and Kidi.
“Talking about rappers I definitely wanna do the job with Sarkodie but he’s been kinda complicated to get a keep of,” disclosed Nakai about her unsuccessful tries to achieve Sarkodie.
She added that herself and Stonebwoy had a wonderful link when they met in South Africa.
