A former US Olympics gymnastics mentor has killed himself hours just after he was billed with sexual assault and human trafficking, officers say.
The place of work of Michigan Attorney Normal Dana Nessel verified the demise of John Geddert on Thursday afternoon.
In the early morning, Ms Nessel experienced outlined 24 felony charges dealing with Geddert.
Geddert was head of the women’s gymnastics crew in 2012 and worked carefully with group doctor Larry Nassar who abused hundreds of athletes.
Nassar was sentenced to up to 300 a long time in jail in 2018 for abusing more than 250 women.
Geddert, 63, had owned the teaching facility in Michigan where Nassar had served as the gym’s doctor.
