Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo retains Black Queens coaching position


Mercy Efua Tagoe-Quarcoo has retained her position as head coach of the senior women’s national crew, the Black Queens, for another yr.

The former Ghanaian Global was created the substantive coach of the side in November 2019 immediately after serving as assistant mentor for two decades.

Mercy Tagoe-Quarcoo is a retired FIFA referee who officiated in the Ghana Premier League, CAF Competitions and FIFA Tournaments – including the 2010 FIFA Women’s Entire world Cup.

Coach Tagoe-Quarcoo became assistant to Mas-Ud Didi Dramani right before staying elevated to the head coach position subsequent the exit of the former in 2018.

She led Ghana twice to WAFU Zone B glories (Gold in 2018 and Bronze medal in 2019).  She beforehand played for the defunct Supreme Women (Tema) and Bluna Females right before hanging her boots in 2005.

The 43-year old will be assisted by Charles Anokye Frimpong and Nana Sinasen.
