The chairman of the defunct Ghana Football Association’s Normalization Committee, Dr. Kofi Amoah has spoken against the government’s shift to invest $25 million in the Black Stars AFCON and FIFA Entire world Cup strategies in 2022.
In accordance to the Ghanaian business enterprise magnate, it will be wrong for the government to make investments $25 million in the Black Stars at the price of the local league competitions and grassroots soccer as the upcoming of Ghana football is dependent on its progress.
Dr. Kofi Amoah’s responses occur on the again of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s conference with corporate Ghana previous week to solicit for $15 million after pledging $10 million for the Black stars ahead of their 2022 earth cup qualifiers and AFCON.
He argued that as a substitute of pumping revenue into the Black Stars for brief effects which is not even feasible in the future AFCON, the authorities should somewhat spend the cash into grassroots soccer to develop a reliable group in the long run.
