South African woman breaks the Guinness World Record by giving birth to 10 babies. 37 year old Gosiame Thamara Sithole gave birth to decuplets as detected by more than two doctors during medical scans.
The mother of the nine babies said she was not on any fertility treatment and her pregnancy was natural. She gave birth to seven boys, three girls via Caesarean section. Sithole gave birth to her bundle of joys 29 weeks into her pregnancy.
37-year-old Gosiame Thamara Sithole gave birth to her tenuplets last night – two more than doctors had detected during scan exams – at a Pretoria hospital.
Husband Teboho Tsotetsi states that Ms. Sithole, from Tembisa Township in Ekurhuleni, gave birth to seven boys and three girls by cesarean section.
Six-year-old twins Sithole had previously told Pretoria News that her pregnancy was natural as she didn’t receive any fertility treatment.
