The Nationwide Fee on Culture (NCC) has introduced the “Dance Africa Dance Diaspora” a dancing opposition to showcase the abundant African lifestyle to the environment in Accra.
The maiden edition of the project is in partnership with Africa Diaspora Association of United States of The united states (United states), Canada and Majestic Leisure Team Africa America Basis and would also unearth and develop the skills of the youth who cherished to perform and dance as amateurs or even industry experts.
Madam Janet Edna Nyame, Government Director of NCC reported the commissions’ main function in the level of competition was to spearhead a thriving completion by coordinating all 5 taking part African groups.
She said the two winning teams would be sent to the United states and Canada to contend for the championship posture in 2022.
She mentioned registration for the level of competition was online and cost.
“The competition includes Solo dancers, Duet or Trio dancers, Dancers in small teams of 4 to eleven and larger sized groups of eleven and above,” she mentioned.
She claimed performances slated for the competitiveness were Nationwide folklore dance, Dance Afrobeat, Tune, and dance, Classical ballet, road dance, Present day, Hip hop and Tap.
Madam Nyame stated “culture was our prosperity as a result the want to system our society and style and design programmes to build wealth and also offer employment for the youth”.
She inspired the youth to partake in the competitors to produce their dancing techniques in any of the disciplines.
